The house was full. The heart was ticking.
Thursday 12 June marked the opening night of A Clockwork Heart — our most ambitious original production to date, performed for the first time before a live audience in the New Town Hall.
The set, built over four months in the workshop above the old bakery on Cross Street, drew gasps as the curtain rose on a city of brass, smoke and ticking gears. Eleanor Vance as Rose delivered a performance the company will be talking about for years.
What people said
We caught a few words from the crowd on the way out:
"I came not knowing what to expect and left genuinely moved. That final scene — I won't spoil it — but it stayed with me all the way home."
"The costumes are extraordinary. You can tell every single piece was made with love."
Tickets still available
Five performances remain, running through to 21 June. Seats are going fast — book now to avoid disappointment.
